Director, Business Development She/Her

Ashley joins Beloved Community as the Director of Business Development with more than a decade of non-profit leadership. In her role, she helps organizations match their goals and priorities for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging with Beloved's incredible bodies of work.

In 2012 Ashley was chosen as 1 of 200 participants to take part of the inaugural World Alliance of YMCA’s Change Agent leadership cohort; that opportunity sparked Ashley’s dedication to diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging. she utilized her passion for people and community to support DEI efforts locally, nationally and internationally.

Ashley walks her own journey of DEI as a bi-racial, Black woman born and raised in predominantly white spaces and shares incredible gratitude for her family, friends, mentors and thought partners who have been, and continue to be, part of her journey. Ashley is a human centered leader who believes in putting people over profits - amplifying the value of communities that go beyond dollars. She grounds her personal and professional values in love, respecting and admiring the beauty that is our complexity.

Ashley obtained both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Pittsburgh earning dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and African Studies and a Master of Public Health in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences. Ashley supports Beloved Community from Maryland where she lives with her husband and two children. To stay centered, she enjoys listening to audiobooks and podcasts and loves spending time with her family, especially outdoors hiking or camping.
