Let’s talk about sabbatical
Beloved Community held its first annual sabbatical in 2020. Four years later, and the practice is here to stay. Before they officially closed their laptops for February 2023, Beloved Community leaders Rhonda J. Broussard (Founder and CEO) and Stephanie Taylor (COO) sat down to discuss all things sabbatical.
“We are an unabashedly Pro-Black, Pro-Queer and Pro-Women led organization - not just because we share these identities, but because the way that world of work responds to Blackness, Queerness and Women in leadership is oppressive. We intentionally build in practices that center who we are without having to give up what we do in our functions.”
